The Abu Dhabi Festival 2021, during the fourth evening of its Ramadan evenings, hosted the American singer and composer of Lebanese origins, Maysa Qaraa, who performed a number of masterpieces of oriental spiritual singing and Sufi heritage, carrying a message of hope, under the slogan “Doaa”, through the festival’s digital platforms.

And Mesa introduced: “Be and Be,” written by Oscar-winning artist I. Ar. Rahman, in cooperation with the Indian artist Javed Ali, and “Doaa” from the words of the Lebanese poet Henry Zgheib. She also collaborated with the famous violinist from Jordan, Yaroub Smirat, in the distribution of the two pieces.

The artist expressed her happiness to return once again to cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts and the Abu Dhabi Festival, stressing the importance of the group and the festival’s role at all levels, especially in mitigating the effects of the “Covid-19” pandemic, in addition to transmitting a message of hope and solidarity, expressing humanity towards a better future.

She added, “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the festival for its vision of investing in developing, supporting and qualifying young people to advance the artistic and cultural mobility in the region.”
