Madbouly: The “Long Live Egypt” Fund will collect contributions to provide Corona vaccines


Cairo – Direct: Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, confirmed that it was agreed that the “Long Live Egypt” Fund would be the entity that would collect the various contributions, whether from banks, companies or other bodies, in addition to what the state treasury had arranged to buy vaccines for Corona .

The Egyptian Prime Minister stated, in a statement today, Monday, that the government has allocated about two billion pounds to the fund so far.

This came while presiding over a meeting today to follow up developments in confronting the “Corona” virus, after returning from the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday, and the position of providing anti-virus vaccines, in the presence of Hala Zayed, Minister of Health, and Mohamed Amin, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Financial Affairs, and Treasurer of Long Live Egypt And Major General Bahaa El Din Zeidan, Chairman of the Unified Procurement Authority.

The Prime Minister said that today’s meeting comes within the framework of following up the latest developments regarding the Corona virus crisis, especially after returning to work after the end of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, as well as following up on the position of providing anti-virus vaccines.

For his part, Major General Muhammad Amin reviewed, in detail, the resources that have been received, as well as what has been spent so far to provide the various vaccines.

During the meeting, Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, reassured the Prime Minister that the oxygen reserves, which are needed by “Corona” patients, are safe, and she also stressed the availability of necessary medicines and medical supplies.

She revealed that vaccination of all prisoners with anti-Coronavirus vaccines will begin, and that it has been agreed with the President of the Federation of Egyptian Industries to allocate a number of centers to be headquarters through which to provide the vaccination service for workers in all industrial complexes according to a specific plan, explaining at the same time that it will The stationing of cars near the places of pension payment; With the aim of providing vaccines.

Zayed explained that the ministry aims to provide vaccines to citizens who are pensioners, as starting from disbursing the pension next month, vaccines will be provided to them, by stationing at various places of exchange across the republic, whether bank branches or post offices.

The minister indicated that it is expected during the next few days the arrival of the raw material needed to manufacture 2 million doses of “Sinovac” vaccine, as well as the arrival of 500 thousand doses of “Sinopharma” vaccine.

She stated that, by the beginning of next June, 1.9 million doses of “Kovacs” and another 2 million doses of “Sinovac” are expected to arrive, pointing out that during the past few days, 1.7 million doses of “Kovacs” have been received, in addition to 500 thousand. A dose of Sinopharm vaccine.

The Minister of Health noted the phone call that took place with the head of the “World Health Organization” yesterday, during which he confirmed the organization’s support for all steps taken by Egypt to provide vaccines to various citizens.

The minister touched on coordination with the various concerned officials, in an effort to manufacture “AstraZeneca” vaccine in Egypt in the coming period, at “Vacsera” factories in 6th of October City.
