The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Saudi Arabia closed 12 mosques in 5 regions, after 12 cases of Coronavirus were confirmed among the ranks of worshipers.
The ministry indicated that “the total of what was closed within 90 days reached 1068 mosques, 1054 of which were reopened after the completion of sterilization and the completion of readiness in the framework of ensuring the safety of those who visited the homes of God.”
It indicated, “The closed mosques 6 in Riyadh, two in the eastern region, two in Jazan, a mosque in Asir, and a mosque in Najran,” referring to the reopening of 17 mosques, including 5 in Riyadh, 5 in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, three in the eastern region, three in Asir, and a mosque in Al-Baha. And that after completing all the precautionary measures of sterilization and maintenance. ”
The Ministry called on the worshipers and those in charge of mosques to adhere to the instructions for the precautionary measures when they go to the mosques, including wearing a muzzle, bringing their own carpet, and achieving physical distance for their safety.
