Today, King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah witnessed the launch of international flights in accordance with the implementation of the decision to allow citizens to travel internationally while adhering to the precautionary measures set by the General Authority for Civil Aviation, in coordination with all government and private agencies to confront the emerging Corona virus pandemic, in the presence of the Assistant Chief Executive Officer of Operations at the Civil Aviation Authority Eng. Suleiman Al-Bassam, the general manager of the airport, Essam bin Fouad Nour, and officials of government and security agencies at the airport.

Under the direction of His Excellency the President of the General Civil Aviation Authority, the airport management was keen to implement all preventive measures to protect travelers. The preventive measures included examining airport visitors with thermal cameras, with the requirement to present the “Tawakalna” application before entering the travel lounges, and a commitment to wearing a mask while entering the airport after measuring the temperature; As it will be banned from traveling those who do not comply with wearing a mask.

Many measures have also been taken to maintain physical distance at the airport, by placing glass barriers separating travelers from service providers for issuing boarding passes and delivering luggage, and placing instructional stickers to maintain a distance of two meters between travelers in gathering areas, and distributing them in a way that confirms this distance by leaving a seat. Precautionary measures continue among passengers even before they board the plane.
