Gulf News Yasser Al-Azma gets the Emirati citizenship


The Syrian artist, Yasser Al-Azma, announced his obtaining the Emirati citizenship and thanked the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“The United Arab Emirates honored me by granting me the Emirati nationality,” Al-Azmeh said on his social media accounts.
He also thanked Al-Azma bin Rashid for granting him golden residency to many Arab and Syrian artists, and said that it “gives them the opportunity to work and reside continuously in the Emirates.”

It is noteworthy that Al-Azmeh resides in the Arab Emirates, and it contains pictures of his new series “The Swallow”, which was scheduled to be shown last Ramadan. However, Al-Azmeh wrote on his personal page that the show will be postponed until after Ramadan due to some artistic operations that “took more time than expected.”
