Good news for health insurance beneficiaries

Riyadh (Echo):

The Council of Cooperative Health Insurance intends to prevent health insurance companies from interfering in the treatment plan for the insured after giving approval, in conjunction with the large number of complaints from the pressure of insurance companies on hospitals and private health centers, to reduce the costs of treatment for the insured.

Insurance companies will also be prevented from influencing in any way the service provider’s decision regarding the type of appropriate health care services for the insured, in addition to preventing the service provider from encouraging or trying to win over the beneficiary to pay the costs of treatment in cash for any reason, according to the country.

This comes within the draft regulations for the protection of cooperative health insurance beneficiaries, which were presented by the Council, and which aims to develop legal procedures to protect the rights of the beneficiaries.
