FIFA: Djanini’s decision is not binding

FIFA clarified that the decision issued recently in favor of Cape Verde Djanini Tavares, former Al-Ahly player, has not yet acquired the final status, after Al-Ahly Jeddah lost his complaint against the player as a result of the termination of his contract in July of last year, and moved to Turkish Trabzon.
According to the mail that Al Riyadiah received from FIFA, the International Game Federation confirmed that the decision was already issued by the Dispute Resolution Chamber on April 29, but that the case is not final and not yet binding, and it is not possible to comment further.
While a source close to Djanini Tavares – who preferred not to be named – indicated that the decision was expected from our side, because Djanini was and is still right, and is now welcoming to return to the Saudi League if he receives a suitable offer.
The source added that Tavares will receive financial compensation from Al-Ahly club after winning the case.
Faced with this, Al-Riyadiah revealed to an official source in the Al-Ahly Club that they will file an appeal before the International Court of Arbitration, “Cass”, after receiving the reasons for the decision, as the Legal Affairs Department of the club is working on the case at the present time.
