Atalanta defeats Parma and clings to the second

Atalanta climbed to second place in the Italian Football League, temporarily, after defeating its host Parma 5-2 on Sunday in the thirty-fifth stage of the Italian Football League. This round also saw Sassuolo beat Genoa 2-1, Cagliari over Benvento 3-1, and Verona and Turin drew 1-1.

Atalanta’s goals were scored by Ruslan Malinowski in the 12th minute, Matteo Pesena in the 52nd minute, Luis Muriel (two goals) in the 77th and 86th minutes, and Alexei Miranshuk in the last minute of the match. Parma Juan Brunetta and Simon Som scored in the 78th and 88th minutes.
