The Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported that Real Madrid’s training session after bidding farewell to the Champions League 48 hours was missed by trio Fede Valverde, Vinicius Junior and Sergio Ramos.
The defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final left Real Madrid in a fragile state, although the Spanish giants have no time to contemplate their continental disappointment as Sevilla awaits them in this week’s La Liga competitions.
They faced yet another problem due to the absence of Sergio Ramos, Vinicius Jr. and Fidy Valverde from training Friday, as the trio worked in the gym far from the rest of the group.
Meanwhile, Raphael Varane will not play against Seville, while Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vásquez are excluded until the end of the season, as Real Madrid go to the decisive period in the League without a number of key players.
Varane is estimated to be around 10 days away after suffering an injury in the confrontation with Osasuna, although he worked in the gym on Friday. The French defender is expected to be available for the next match with Granada after the Seville match, although his absence means Zidane will have to look for a replacement.
And Real Madrid ranks first in the Spanish league standings with 74 points, equal to third-placed Barcelona, and two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid.
