Acting Information Minister Majed Abdullah Al-Qasabi offered condolences on the death of sports journalist Adel Al-Tuwaijri, saying in a tweet through his official account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “I offer my warmest condolences and sincere sympathy for the death of the journalist Mr. Adel Al-Tuwaijri, who passed away this day … asking The Almighty is to cover him with the breadth of his mercy and to dwell in him in his spaciousness … and to inspire his family and his loved ones with patience and solace … We belong to God and to Him we shall return.
The news of his death sparked grief and interaction among the pioneers of social networking sites, where they launched a tag entitled “Adel Al-Tuwaijri” through which they expressed their deep sadness and shock with the news, especially since his last appearance was on Friday.

Adel Al-Tuwaijri is a writer and sports critic specializing in legal and statistical aspects .. Al-Tuwaijri practiced sports work in several forms, as he was a sports critic on television programs, president of the media center for “Hail Rally”, and a member of the board of directors of the Crescent Club.
Al-Tuwaijri held many administrative positions in Al-Hilal Club, and has written for several Saudi newspapers.
