The fans will start entering the stadiums again after Eid Al Fitr
The Saudi Ministry of Sports has set conditions for fans to enter the stadiums during the Saudi League matches, and it has allowed three categories to be present in Saudi stadiums, while preventing those under 18 years of age.
The ministry had announced last March that fans would be allowed to attend the Saudi League matches starting from May 17, and the fans were exceptionally present in the last Saudi match against Palestine at the Marsool Park stadium as part of the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in China.
The General Administration for the Operation of Sports Facilities at the Ministry of Sports has informed the Saudi Professional League, representatives of Saudi clubs and the Football Association that it will equip the stadiums that will host the 24 matches of the last three rounds of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup for Saudi Professionals, in accordance with the precautionary measures taken to prevent the virus Corona (Covid 19).
Among these measures, posters are placed on chairs that are not allowed to sit on to maintain social distancing and a safe distance between the crowd, as well as the provision of sterilizers throughout the stadium.
The ministry confirmed that the clubs will be fully responsible for implementing the protocol for the entry of the fans and adhering to the specified rate for each stadium, which is 40% of its public capacity, noting that the process of entering the fans will be subject to strict control by the Ministry and the League to ensure that the specified number is not exceeded and social distancing is maintained.
Finally, the Saudi Ministry of Sports has identified 3 categories of fans that will be permitted to enter, and they are:
- Immunized with two doses of Corona vaccine
- Receive a first dose and have passed 14 days “fortified with a first dose”
- Recovering dungeon
The ministry banned entry to anyone under the age of 18 from entering the stadiums.
Finally, it is noteworthy that many Saudi clubs are seriously considering offering match tickets to their fans for free, while adhering to the number allowed to enter.
