The former head of Saudi General Intelligence, Prince Turki Al-Faisal, confirmed that his country does not want to obtain the tutelage of Jerusalem, and that all that is said in this regard is rumor.
In an interview with the “What to Say” program, he said that Israel is the one who promotes such matters, which are unfounded. Saudi Arabia has Islamic sanctities that are sufficient for it to be honored and appreciated, and as Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz said: We are honored that the Saudi people He is the one who serves the pilgrims.
He added, “The Arab region is a focus of global concern, and what happens in it affects the entire world.”
He continued: “The Corona pandemic proved that the world should unite and rally around each other, instead of a state of hostility and distance from each other.”
He said, “We have not prepared anyone. Saudi Arabia is seeking rapprochement with all countries, including Turkey.”
He pointed out that “the Kingdom always welcomes relations with all neighboring countries and the world,” noting the need for “non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.”
On the Jordanian issue, he said: “Saudi Arabia always supports Jordan at all levels, and our relations are strong and stable, and it is not strange for its relations to be invested in supporting Amman.”
