The “Zakat Fund” signed a memorandum of understanding and strategic cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, with the aim of improving the quality of services provided to citizens outside the UAE, and in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership aimed at encouraging charitable work; And activating the national partnership between the various sectors of the state.
The memorandum was signed by Abdullah bin Aqeedah Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the Zakat Fund, and Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, where the signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, last Sunday.
Al Muhairi affirmed that the most important basis for the strategy, from which the work of the Zakat Fund is based, is its social determinant, which stems from the general strategic foundations of the state, which aims to improve the methodology of social development, which contributes to making the groups benefiting from zakat funds an active part of the desired development process.
For his part, Al-Hall praised the joint and existing cooperation between the two sides, as part of the memorandum of understanding, which would mobilize the efforts made by the two parties in this regard.
