The events shed light on artworks covered in light, in addition to architectural buildings that swim in the space of light. It included 60 artworks, including all forms of light art, including historical, engineering and light artworks, sculptures, lighting displays, interactive displays, kinetic pieces, outdoor installations and works, and a range of light art forms.
The event allowed residents and visitors of Riyadh to enjoy it closely in various parts of the city, with two main centers designated for the celebration in each of the King Abdullah Financial District and the King Abdulaziz Historical Center in Al Murabba.
The “Light of Riyadh” is the first initiative of the “Riyadh Art” project, which is a new annual celebration of light and art throughout the city of Riyadh, and bears the slogan “Under One Sky.” The idea of work revolves around the torch of hope that illuminates people’s hearts and unites them for good and love.
It is noteworthy that the “Riyadh Art” project is integrated with the “Vision 2030”, and it is one of the largest public art programs currently being organized in the world, and it is also one of the four major projects designed by the Royal Commission for the City of Riyadh; To transform the capital into a super-dynamic, cosmopolitan city.
