Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – On Saturday, the leaders of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia congratulated King Abdullah II on the centenary of the founding of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said on his Twitter account: “I congratulate my brother King Abdullah II and his brotherly people for the centenary of the founding of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.”

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed his wishes for “continued stability and development, for Jordan to continue in its Arab and international position, the voice of reason and wisdom, and for its centenary to be a springboard for further progress and prosperity.”

For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, said: “In the centenary of brotherly Jordan … we congratulate the Nassam people and my brother King Abdullah for this centenary.”

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid affirmed that “Jordan has love for the people of the Emirates and their leaders since the founding of the state .. Jordan is still an Arab depth steadfast in the wisdom of its leadership and the wrapping of its people. May God preserve Jordan and perpetuate its glory. He perpetuated brotherhood and love between our two peoples.”

Earlier Saturday, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent telegrams of congratulations to King Abdullah II, in which they expressed “the best congratulations and sincere wishes for good health and happiness to His Majesty, wishing to the government and people of the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan further progress and advancement.” According to the official Saudi Press Agency.
