Russia announced its support for Saudi Arabia’s approach to global issues, and Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed to reporters today (Friday) that Moscow intends to develop dialogue with Riyadh, taking into account common approaches in various international files and issues.He said that his country supports the statements of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on the importance of the principles of equality and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries.
He added: “I have drawn our attention to the words of Prince Mohammed bin Salman about Riyadh’s commitment to the central role of the United Nations in global affairs, building international relations on the principles of equality, respect, fair consideration of national interests and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs. We fully support this approach. ” He continued: «We are witnessing now what is happening in the world, and we see a violation of international law, a violation of common sense and so on. Of course, such statements are rare, and therefore very impressive. ”
The Kremlin spokesman pointed out that the position expressed by the Crown Prince testifies to the common approaches of Moscow and Riyadh in international politics, stressing that Russia intends to further develop relations with the Kingdom.
The Kremlin affirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin is firmly supportive and convinced of this position in the main framework of international affairs of the principles of equality, respect, fair consideration of national interests and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries. In light of this shared conceptual view, we are ready to define the full range of our relations with the Kingdom, including through implementing the agreements reached during Putin’s visit to Riyadh.
