The General Administration of Security and Safety at the Grand Mosque has prepared a package of proactive plans, seeking to implement physical spacing between worshipers in the third Saudi expansion during the blessed month of Ramadan for the current year.

This comes as per the directives of the General President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, Sheikh Professor Dr. Abdul-Rahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, under the follow-up and supervision of the Deputy President for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque, Dr. Saad bin Muhammad Al-Muhaimid.

The Director of the General Administration of Security and Safety, Mr. Fayez bin Abdulrahman Al-Harithi, explained that the Security Department at the Grand Mosque and the Corridors Department are working to organize the worshipers inside the specified prayer halls, after making sure that they are sterilized and disinfected. As employees of the Security Department apply procedures for spacing the worshipers, and to ensure that preventive measures are applied.

For his part, the Director of the Corridors Department, Nasser bin Muhammad Hamzi, explained that the work of the corridors management is based on directing the worshipers to the prayer halls in cooperation with the security men, while making sure that a special carpet is available for each worshiper and the muzzle is worn.

Al-Harithi also explained that there are committees inside the chapels that supervise the organization and reception of worshipers at the entrance gates, and make sure that the Tawakalna application is examined, and direct them to thermal cameras for thermal detection, as well as not to gather inside the chapels, with the worshipers gradually emerging after the prayer. In order to achieve the implementation of the precautionary measures inside the Grand Mosque in order to preserve the safety and intentions of the Grand Mosque.

It is worth noting that the third Saudi expansion will receive 100,000 worshipers per day after confirming their entry permits to the Grand Mosque.

Al-Harithi concluded that the Presidency Agency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque was distinguished during the past period by applying all precautionary measures in the courtyard and prayer halls, calling on God – glorified and exalted – to accept from Muslims the fasting and prayers of Ramadan, and from the Umrah pilgrims, He is Hearer and Responsible.
