Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif considered the deliberate targeting of a nuclear facility subject to the safeguards agreement as nuclear terrorism and a war crime.

In a letter addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, on Monday, Zarif wrote to the Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization that the deliberate targeting of a nuclear facility subject to the safeguards agreement – with the accompanying high risk of general and indiscriminate leakage of radioactive materials – is nuclear terrorism and a war crime. .

He added that “Israel” had threatened to take measures to prevent the revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (the nuclear agreement) after the American elections, and is now proud of that.

If the United States wants to avoid the consequences of this foolish gambling, he said, it must stop viewing the economic terrorism committed by former President Donald Trump or the recent nuclear terrorism as a negotiating tool and remove all embargoes imposed or re-imposed and whose titles have changed since the implementation of the nuclear deal.

He stressed that after verifying in a timely manner that all US embargo measures have been removed, Iran will respond by stopping all compensatory measures, measures that will witness a remarkable escalation in the wake of the recent terrorist sabotage.
