Saudi Railways launches a new version of the Saar Pioneers program, the Saudi Press Agency

Saudi Railways “SAR” launched today the new version of the (Saar Pioneers) program, which is one of the company’s most important initiatives in the field of developing the capabilities and skills of newly graduated Saudis in various engineering and administrative disciplines, by opening the door for candidacy for those wishing to join the company’s staff.
The Director of the Human Resources and Support Services Sector, Eng. Abdul Rahman Turkistani, stated that the program aims to attract Saudi competencies of both genders in the specializations: (engineering, finance, health and safety, strategy and business planning, real estate development, human resources, information technology, and supply chains), and to train and prepare them. To contribute to achieving the future goals of the company by empowering them with the technical skills and competencies associated with the rail transport industry, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 through the development and development of national competencies.
He stated that “SAR” will begin evaluating applicants from April 29, and that final results will be announced after the evaluation stage ends, followed by the training stage that begins in August 2021.
He emphasized that the “Pioneers SAR” program includes a number of training courses for fresh graduates, as well as on-the-job training and development of technical and leadership competencies in the company’s various departments and locations.
Turkistani explained that the applicant to join the program must be fluent in the English language and have a GPA as follows: 2.75 out of 4 or 3.75 out of 5, or 80 out of 100, provided that he passes the tests prescribed by the company.
It is noteworthy that the trainees in the program will go through several stages, the most important of which is the definition of the workplace by enabling the participants to train in different business units, in order to give the participants an overview of the company and identify the workflow mechanism, followed by the building phase by developing the capabilities of those enrolled in the program, training them and assigning some Tasks and activities to them, to conclude with the empowerment phase, where they are assigned larger tasks to enable them to have a positive impact on the work. The “SAR Ruwwad” program includes a package of other activities and courses such as a secondment and foreign training program with international leading companies in the field of railways.
