The Saudi permanent representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami, handed over one million dollars, as a contribution from the Kingdom, to the voluntary fund of the international, impartial and independent mechanism concerned with Syria.
This came during a hypothetical meeting with the head of the international, impartial and independent mechanism concerned with Syria, Christine Marc O’Hill, during which the Kingdom’s regional efforts in general, and at the Syrian level in particular, were reviewed.
Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Muallami stressed that “the Kingdom’s role with regard to the Syrian issue is to support political solutions, including the efforts made by the United Nations in political and humanitarian terms,” while Christine Mark O’Hill expressed her thanks to the Kingdom for its “generous support.” “.
The head of the international, impartial and independent mechanism on Syria called on Saudi Arabia to “continue to provide political support to the Syrian crisis, especially in efforts to hold accountable the perpetrators of heinous crimes against the Syrian people.”
It should be noted that the meeting was attended by the Saudi delegation, the Chairman of the Third Committee, Muhammad Khashaan, and the Chairman of the Fifth Committee, Muhammad al-Asiri, and the media official, Tawful al-Uqbi.
