Saudi Airlines has raised many questions about the return of international flights and travel outside the Kingdom for Saudis without restrictions, after a tweet it published that led to a great interaction on “Twitter”.
The company published a tweet in which it said, “Have the bags ready?”, Referring to the imminent date for allowing Saudis to travel abroad without restrictions, after a suspension that lasted more than a year since the spread of the Corona pandemic globally.
In response to these speculations, the Assistant Director General of Saudi Airlines Communication, Khaled bin Abdul Qadir Tash, said that Saudi Airlines is ready to fully operate international flights, on May 17, 2021, as announced by the General Authority of Civil Aviation earlier.
The official explained that the tweet published by the company indicates when the full restrictions on international travel will be lifted.
And the General Authority of Civil Aviation had amended the date for allowing Saudis to travel abroad, completely lifting the suspension of international flights, and opening the Kingdom’s airports, to the date of 05/17/2021.
And last week, Saudi Airlines announced a cooperation agreement with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which aims to test and test the IATA electronic traveler’s document, in order to support the safe return to international travel, and the aviation sector’s recovery from the consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic.
