Record BMW sales in Asia


The German automaker BMW announced today (Thursday) that its sales in the first quarter of this year exceeded pre-Corona pandemic levels, supported by the company’s sales in Asia.

During the period from January to March, the company sold 636,600 cars, an increase of 5% over the first quarter of 2019, and an increase of 5.33% over the same quarter of last year.

The increase in sales was supported by higher demand in Asia.

BMW sold about 230,000 cars in China, an increase of 60,000 cars from the first quarter of 2019.

The company recorded record sales in Asia as a whole, with 237,000 cars sold.

In Europe, the company sold 239 thousand cars, which is less than the situation before the crisis but is 8% higher than the first quarter of 2020. In addition to the company selling 78 thousand cars in the United States in the first quarter, up 17% over the same period From last year, but it is below pre-crisis levels.
