Real Madrid announces that Ramos has been infected with the Corona virus

Real Madrid Football Club announced today, Tuesday, that the swab of its captain, Spanish international defender Sergio Ramos, gave a positive result in a test to detect the emerging corona virus.

The royal club said in a statement posted on its Twitter account: “Real Madrid Football Club announces that the swab of our player Sergio Ramos gave a positive result in the test to detect the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) that was conducted for him.”

Real Madrid is preparing to face Liverpool tomorrow, Wednesday, in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals, noting that the first leg in Madrid ended with a 3-1 victory for the landlords.

Ramos was absent from the first leg due to his left leg injury, and he also missed the El Clasico match against Barcelona on Saturday, at the top of the 30th stage of the Spanish League.
