open Apple Officially their Find My Tracking Network to outside companies As promised last year, any hardware manufacturer can add software-side support for Apple’s home network to track lost items – as long as they play Apple’s Made for iPhone (MFi) accessories rules.

According to the verege, the first wave of traceable elements includes VanMoof’s S3 and X3 e-inserts, Belkin’s SoundForm Freedom True Wireless Earbuds, and the Chipolo One Spot tracking tag – all of which can now rely on Apple’s Bluetooth crowdsourcing network (which includes Millions of iPhones, iPads and Macs).

Users will be able to add these devices to Find My app Updater and they can track it through this app much the same way they track any lost product from Apple.

Apple says third-party devices looking to add support will need to apply through the company’s MFi program to obtain the licensed accessories and “comply with all privacy protection measures for the Find My network that Apple customers rely on.”

Certified products will carry the new “Works with Apple Find My” badge to inform customers that they are compatible with the Apple Network.

And Apple announced that it will provide chip specifications for third-party device companies to integrate with Urtla-Wideband systems in modern Apple phones for more accurate tracking in the future.
