The security official for “Hezbollah Brigades” in Iraq, Abu Ali Al-Askari, confirmed that his movement is not a party to the negotiations that Riyadh is conducting in Baghdad, referring to its negotiations with Tehran.
He wrote on his Twitter account: “The popular crowd will not disband, and if this happens (assuming the impossible), the Islamic Resistance will absorb the crowd’s mujahideen, with all their classes and specializations.”
He added, “We will not surrender our weapons except in the hand of Imam Al-Hujjah (Imam Al-Mahdi, the twelfth Imam of the Shiites).
He continued, “Let everyone know that we are not a party to any negotiations conducted by the Saudi entity in Iraq.”
Earlier, RT revealed the details of a secret meeting held at the beginning of this month between Saudi and Iranian officials in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
