And in fifth place is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, with a fortune of $ 97 billion.
The magic of technology
And the technology sector has become the sector that embraces the largest volume of billionaire fortunes in the world, according to the Forbes list.
According to the Forbes 2021 list, billionaires made up the tech sector the biggest winner on the list, as their wealth increased to $ 2.5 trillion on Forbes’ list of the world’s richest 2021, up 80% from $ 1.4 trillion last year.

But the technology sector remains at the forefront in terms of its members ’combined wealth of $ 2.5 trillion, surpassing the billionaires of the fashion, retail, finance and investment sectors, which reached $ 1.7 trillion and $ 1.5 trillion, respectively.
The technology sector’s control of the list is due to the large value of the wealth of its members, as 20 billionaires of them account for 1.2 trillion dollars, equivalent to half of the wealth of billionaires in this industry.
Tech tycoons also make up eight of the 20 richest people in the world, 6 of them are in the list of the 10 richest billionaires.
America is home to the largest number of rich people
According to Forbes statistics, the United States still has the largest number of billionaires in the world with 724 billionaires.
It was followed by China (including Hong Kong and Macau) with 698 billionaires.
India ranked third with 140 billionaires, then Germany with 136 billionaires.
And in fifth place came Russia with 117 billionaires.
