The Saudi security authorities managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle 245.7 kilograms of heroin in the cities of Jeddah and Rabigh.
The spokesman for the Border Guard, Colonel Mesfer bin Ghannam Al-Quraini, stated that the land and sea patrols in the Rabigh and Jeddah sectors, belonging to the Makkah region, managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle 245.7 kilograms of heroin, of which (34.5) kilograms were seized in Rabigh sector, and ( 211.2) kilograms were seized in the Jeddah sector. According to the Saudi newspaper, “Al-Riyadh”.
Al-Quraini explained that the legal procedures have been completed, and the smugglers have been handed over to the concerned party, stressing that the border guards will continue to stand firm, resolute and capable of all smuggling attempts, and will stand as an impregnable barrier in front of anyone trying to target the nation’s youth and its capabilities.
