Gold prices rose in Saudi Arabia in the beginning of trading today, Wednesday, April 21, 2021, with the rise in the price of the precious metal globally.
The price of a gram of 24 carat gold in the Kingdom amounted to about 214.25 riyals ($ 57.13).
The price of a gram of 21 carat gold (the most traded in the Kingdom) rose to 187.46 riyals ($ 49.99).
The price of a gram of 18 carat gold in Saudi Arabia has risen to 160.68 riyals ($ 42.85).
The price of a gram of 14-carat gold in the kingdom today has increased to 124.98 riyals ($ 33.33).
An ounce and a pound of gold
The price of an ounce of gold in Saudi Arabia rose to about 6667.50 riyals ($ 1778).
The price of the pound rose gold (8 grams of 21 carat) at 1499.72 riyals ($ 399.92).
Globally, gold rose in the spot market 0.48% to $ 1777.80 an ounce.
And US gold futures rose 0.44% to settle at $ 1778.40 an ounce.
