Al-Riyadh newspaper stated in its editorial today under the title (Motivating Land Owners): Since the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God protect him – took office, the Kingdom’s housing sector has witnessed major achievements that exceeded what was planned. The Ministry of Housing has succeeded in overcoming many obstacles to achieve its goal of enabling all citizens, in various regions, to own homes.
She said: The government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques continues to work in this direction, through the Ministry of Housing, which continues to implement its plans to provide affordable housing services that enable Saudi families to own adequate housing that meets their aspirations, by implementing many initiatives between the public and private sectors, and supporting Financing home ownership and availability at competitive affordable prices.
She added that the issue of monopolizing white lands and not developing them as residential plans was one of the obstacles that negatively affected the balance between supply and demand in the real estate market, as the White Land Fee Program was introduced, and its goal is not to collect fees, but to pay the owners of white lands, either to pay fees for them. In the event that they continue to be hoarded, or motivated to develop, invest and pump them into the market, or sell them to those who wish to invest them as housing units, this helps to increase the housing supply and dismantle monopolistic practices.
And she saw: Therefore, the approval of the Council of Ministers came the day before yesterday, to amend the executive regulations of the white land fees system, which included defining three implementation stages, with the possibility of applying more than one stage in one city, and the Ministry of Housing conducting and periodically reviewing the situation in any city to decide on the application of fees. On the lands therein, suspending the application, or implementing one or more stages to bypass a certain stage and move to the next stage in the city itself, which are amendments that will positively affect the housing sector, and stimulate white landowners to develop their lands and increase the real estate supply.
She concluded: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques government is keen to continue developing the housing sector and sustaining its growth, accelerating the pace of residential ownership by families to become one of the highest rates of ownership among the G20 countries, providing regulations and legislation, and developing and facilitating services for the housing sector, in implementation of the road map drawn up by the Crown Prince. The housing program was one of the Vision 2030 programs, which focuses on providing different housing solutions that do not affect the main income of families.
“Al-Bilad” newspaper explained in its editorial today under the title (Maneuvering Iran): The Iranian regime’s nuclear activities are the biggest threat to the security and stability of the region due to its ambiguity, quirks and breaches of international agreements and treaties, and avoids cooperation and consultation with the countries of the region to confirm the peace of this activity and the commitment to the emptiness of the eastern region. Middle of weapons of mass destruction.
It indicated that the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the Kingdom is following with concern the current developments of Iran’s nuclear program, the latest of which was the announcement of raising the rate of uranium enrichment to 60%. The matter, which cannot be considered a program intended for peaceful uses, comes from its keenness to avoid escalation and the need to continue negotiations to meet the aspirations of the international community in a binding agreement after Tehran’s violation of the agreement signed in 2015 in a way that achieves security and stability in the region and the world and strengthens monitoring and control measures and ensures preventing it from obtaining Nuclear weapon or the development of the capabilities required for it.
She concluded: The Kingdom’s interest in this thorny file stems from its being one of the countries most affected by Iranian threats, which requires the importance of a nuclear agreement that covers the shortcomings of the current agreement and prevents Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper said in its editorial today under the title (Corona Dualism … The Bill is Excessive): The whole world is awaiting the stage of economic recovery, while various international institutions warn of the effects that the new Corona epidemic has left on the international arena, especially on the social level directly related to economic conditions , Which witnessed major transformations in the period of the pandemic spread, and imposed new standards.
She added: Although the hoped-for recovery is still some way off, things are heading towards economic relief, especially with the beginning of growth in most economies around the world. At the end of this year, it is expected that the global economy will achieve growth of up to 6%, and this growth will continue until next year, which supports the path of this economy out of the deepest recession in more than 80 years. Things are heading towards détente, but there are many caveats that will not end even if recovery becomes a fait accompli.
She indicated that the International Labor Organization has warned, since the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, of the negative effects it has on the level of work, and in the spread of poverty and destitution, especially in light of also a historic high of unemployment rates at the global level. In almost a year, more than 120 million people lost their jobs at once, as well as those who were unemployed in the period of the epidemic, and at the time of closures made by governments around the world.
And she continued: The International Foundation sent clear messages to all countries, to put people at the center of the desired recovery policies, and these messages are concerned – in fact – with the need to study the conditions of work and workers globally, including those who left the market permanently, in addition to the conditions of a large proportion of workers Those who are threatened with losing their jobs even in light of the recovery, as a result of the changes in the nature of economic mobility that the pandemic brought to the scene. In the past year, poverty rates have risen around the world, including even developed countries, which have rushed to introduce social and economic rescue packages.
And she added: But this was not the case in most countries, as poverty rates rose greatly in them, and what can be described according to the International Labor Organization, inequality, rather social injustice, and this requires – of course – that governments give this sensitive aspect great importance in the post Corona. Economic and social recovery from this pandemic will require decent mobility, not only to establish and empower it on the ground, but to address poverty and inequality, whose levels have risen greatly in the past months.
She explained that the Corona pandemic not only raised the number of the poor, but also strongly hit the middle class, and forcibly included numbers of them in the poverty lists, and from here economic recovery cannot be achieved around the world without absorbing the new problem of poverty and confronting inequality, knowing that the world Before the pandemic, there was a clear decline in the number of the poor globally, after the success of various United Nations development projects.
She concluded: The previously agreed strategy provides all the necessary tools in this field, from health and education to various social care, as well as addressing the problems of direct and indirect unemployment, equality in life conditions and requirements and the distribution of wealth, and therefore the recovery required in the future should be sustainable and comprehensive.
Al-Youm newspaper said in its editorial today under the title (Promoting Strategic Independence): The strategic objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 target the various economic pillars that would provide job opportunities in the public and private sectors, transfer technology, and advance development by enhancing non-oil revenues, in addition to Supporting successful small and medium-sized local companies to contribute to supporting the Saudi economy on a larger scale, achieving national priorities represented in raising capabilities, enhancing efficiency and joint operation between all security and military agencies, developing a sustainable domestic military industries sector, and raising transparency and spending efficiency.
She added that what was explained by the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries, Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, about the approval of the Council of Ministers, which held its regular session via visual communication headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Chairman of the Council of Ministers – may God protect him – on the strategy of the military industries sector In the Kingdom, and his affirmation that the approval comes as an extension of the unlimited support and special care that the military industries sector receives from the wise leadership – may God help it – with the aim of embodying its wise and ambitious vision towards strengthening the Kingdom’s strategic independence and developing its national military industrial capabilities, and seeking to localize this promising sector, And make it an important tributary of the Saudi economy, by transferring technology, supporting the local investor, providing job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the homeland, and maximizing the sector’s contribution to the national economy. Here, other frameworks converge in the overall landscape of the goals of the Kingdom’s vision.
She concluded: The strategy of the military industries sector aimed at building national capabilities by strengthening the local infrastructure for research and development, identifying priority technologies, stimulating the process of developing human capital and providing appropriate educational opportunities, and establishing national research centers and laboratories specialized in the field of military industries, are strategies that also reflect capacity. The superlative strength and the pioneering capabilities in the Kingdom, which enhance its capabilities and confirm its position among the countries of the developed world and its influence in the international community.
