Etisalat participated in the UAE Hackathon 2021 “Together Remotely”, the activities of which were launched today, with the participation of creative people, innovators and specialists in the UAE, with the aim of accelerating the journey towards building a more connected future, with a focus on building technology-based solutions, and taking advantage of the power of the fifth generation networks. 5G, as the hackathon provides an important platform to attract ideas, stimulate innovation and technological progress in the sectors related to the UAE government’s vision 2021.
The hackathon activities were launched under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Economy, with the support and organization of Ericsson, and the events will continue until March 31, 2022, in a move that seeks to attract and attract new ideas and stimulate innovations in the targeted sectors that are compatible with the UAE Vision 2021.
Etisalat participated in the hackathon, where Eng. Mahmoud Al-Bannai, Vice President of Fifth Generation Networks and Artificial Intelligence for Mobile Phones, participated in. During a panel discussion titled “The Change in the Pattern of Dialogue with the 5G – The Role of the Fifth Generation Network,” Eng. At the end of the hackathon, 6 winning teams will be selected, each of which represents one of the axes of the national agenda for the UAE Vision 2021. The winning teams will receive the necessary support to test their solutions, and they will also have the opportunity to present these solutions at the pavilion of the Kingdom of Sweden at Expo 2020, as well as One team will get the grand prize, which is to visit Ericsson’s headquarters in Sweden to present their solution and communicate with the community of entrepreneurs there.
