Economic / “Environment” discusses ways to enhance Saudi-Dutch cooperation in the fields of water

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture discussed ways to enhance Saudi-Dutch cooperation in the fields of water, wastewater treatment technologies, and the application of the best solutions to reduce the quantities of water used in agriculture, and wetland technologies.
This came during the meeting of the Undersecretary for Water Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani today, the Chargé d’Affairs at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Masha Pak, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh.
In the meeting, he reviewed the ministry’s efforts in developing water-related systems to enhance water sustainability that accompanies the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, in addition to the national water strategy that was approved in 2018, and the water system issued last year and its implementing regulations.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the National Center for Water Research and Studies, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Bassam, the General Director of the Center for Water Management and Control, Eng. Aref Al-Kalali, and the Agricultural Counselor at the Dutch Embassy, Eric Smidt.
