Assiut-Red Sea road collision accident: At least 20 people were killed in a traffic accident in Assiut Governorate, southern Egypt

At least 20 people were killed and 4 others were injured, in a collision with a passenger bus and a transport vehicle at the entrance to Assiut Governorate in Upper Egypt, which led to the bus being set ablaze and completely charred.

Assiut Governor Essam Saad announced that the accident occurred on the eastern desert road at km 103, at the entrance to the governorate.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health said that it had dispatched more than 31 ambulances, including 11 from Sohag Governorate and 20 from Assiut Governorate, to transport the injured and deceased.
