Al-Bukhari said, “The total number of narcotic substances seized from Lebanon from the beginning of 2020 until April 2021 amounted to 57,184,900 pills.”

Saudi Arabia announced last Friday that it had banned the entry of fruits and vegetables from Lebanon or transporting them through its territory until the relevant Lebanese authorities provide guarantees to stop drug smuggling operations into Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Lebanese Presidency expressed its hope that Saudi Arabia would reconsider the ban on importing Lebanese vegetables and fruits, noting that the Lebanese Minister of Interior was assigned to coordinate with the Saudis to detect drug traffickers and prevent the recurrence of smuggling operations.
