The Zambian team, Napsa Stars, won a historic victory over the Confederation title holder, Nahdet Berkane, with a goal without response, in a match that came within the accounts of the fifth round of the second group of the continental championship.
The Zambian team is led by Egyptian coach Mohamed Fathy, who won with him a historic victory, as this victory was considered the first for the Zambian team after five rounds.
Napsa Stars had failed to achieve any victory before the match between Nahdet Berkane, after a draw in a match against JS Kabylie, with two goals for each side.
The Napa Stars team prevented rival Nahdet Berkane from continuing the African campaign after this victory, as the defending champion stopped at five points.
In another match, and within the second group matches, the Algerian team, JS Kabylie, defeated its rival Cameroonian Cotton, with two goals to one.
Consequently, after five rounds, the second group ranking became as follows: JS Kabylie (9 points) – Cameroonian Cotton (9 points) – Nahdet Berkan (5 points) – Nabsa Stars (4 points).
The Nahdet Borkan team is considered Al-Ahly’s competitor in the African Super competition, as the match is scheduled to take place on the 28th of next month, according to Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee that currently manages Egyptian football affairs.
Al-Ahly team enters this match as the champion of the CAF Champions League competition in the past version, in contrast, Nahdet Berkane plays as the Confederation’s champion last year.
