Walmart pledges to spend $ 350 billion to support US industry


Wal-Mart has pledged to support US industry by spending $ 350 billion on goods manufactured or assembled in the United States over the next ten years.

Walmart CEO John Furner confirmed through a blog that this decision will help in creating more than 750,000 jobs in the United States.

Forner added, that the investment will also reduce about 100 million metric tons of emissions, as part of the company’s plan to reach carbon neutrality by 2040.

Wal-Mart will focus on investing in plastics, small electrical appliances, food processing, pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
