Updated .. “Dow Jones”, down 340 points, at the end of the year, with higher bond yields

Direct: US stock indices fell at the close of trading on Thursday, as the Dow Jones lost 340 points, with the rise in bond yields.

The yield on the 10-year US Treasury rose 1.5 percent, with President remarks Federal Reserve Jerome Powell It monitors the bond market movements.

The Fed also indicated that the inflation rate may witness a temporary rise with the reopening of the economy during the coming period.

And jobless claims rose in the United States over the past week, but less than expectations.

At the end of the session, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 1.1 percent, equivalent to 345 points, to the level of 30924 points.

Standard & Poor’s fell by 1.3 percent at 3768.4 points, and the Nasdaq fell by 2.1 percent to the level of 12723.4 points.
