The report issued by the American intelligence recently and submitted to the US Congress on the issue of the killing of the Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi relies unfortunately on many suspicions and subjective conclusions, and the alleged report tried to accuse the Saudi government – from near or far – of its connection to the incident even though the Saudi administration has taken all measures. Legal violations committed by the investigators.
The report has been refuted and responded to by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with full objectivity that the CIA report that was submitted to the US Congress about the killing of the Saudi citizen Jamal Khashoggi is a speculative and conclusive report and does not rise to the level of investigations that are credible, transparent and impartial.
Therefore, many countries and international organizations declared their solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of a suspicious report that was distorted by many non-objective concluding hints. In fact, the case of the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi ended on September 7, 2020, when the Criminal Court in Riyadh sentenced eight people to prison terms ranging from 27 years. The executive authorities in the Kingdom began implementing the judgments, and the Saudi government confirmed that the judgments were issued against a group outside the law and deserve deterrent punishment, and thus the Saudi judiciary proved that it enjoys complete independence and does not tolerate the issuance of fair and complete judgments. As for the Khashoggi family, it was well informed and aware of all Investigation steps. On the one hand, and on the other hand, the Saudi incident took place between Saudis, and on a land considered Saudi, and Saudi courts deliberated it in accordance with the just laws of the Kingdom. Therefore, no foreign country has the right to interfere in the state’s sovereign affairs, and no one has the right to question the rulings of the judiciary. The just, lofty and independent Saudi.
All the investigations and procedures were conducted in a natural legal environment that was not tainted by any suspicion or fraud, but despite this, we were surprised by the report of the American intelligence, bearing a lot of suspicions and far from irrefutable material evidence, and they gathered himself in a case that has no connection with him, and therefore the United States has no right to intervene In judgments issued by the Saudi courts and in a case where the parties are 100 percent Saudis, and here Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz confirms in his response to the US intelligence report, where he said: The United States has previously insisted on its sovereign right to refuse to try American soldiers before a court other than The American judiciary, just as investigators’ transgressions occur in all countries of the world, but it is imperative for the country in question to prosecute and punish the perpetrators of these transgressions, and take the most severe measures against them in order to achieve justice and justice, which is what the Kingdom’s government did at the time and its courts issued fair and strong judgments.
As for the Saudi interior, the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars rejected the false and abusive conclusions and assumptions contained in the American report that was provided to the US Congress, confirming in this regard its complete stand with the statement of the State Department, which rejected the content of the report categorically, and that this report was not based on any evidence or facts. And it supported its full confidence in what the Saudi judiciary has taken on this issue, and the pursuit of judicial rulings is an offense to the justice system in the Kingdom, which enjoys complete independence, and the General Secretariat of the Council of Senior Scholars believes that the people of the Kingdom stand behind their wise leadership, and the Kingdom, with its Arab, Islamic and international weight, is a fundamental pillar in preserving rights Human rights and support for security and stability in the world by adopting a policy of moderation and moderation and rejecting violence and extremism.
The Presidency of the Shura Council and its members also rejected what was stated in the report that was provided to the US Congress on the issue of the killing of citizen Jamal Khashoggi and the abusive conclusions and accusations it contained against the Kingdom that were unfounded, and could not be accepted in any way, and the Shura Council confirmed its categorical rejection of any An attempt aimed at undermining the sovereignty of the Kingdom and its leadership or interfering in its affairs in any way, stressing that the Saudi people firmly refuse to attack the Kingdom and its leadership or undermine its role and position, and the Speaker of the Shura Council stated that the Kingdom, and through its competent authorities in this case, condemned the heinous crime at that time. A blatant violation of the Kingdom’s laws and values by a group that transgressed all regulations, as all necessary judicial measures were taken against them to bring them to justice, and final court rulings were issued against them in a clear affirmation of the independence, fairness, transparency, integrity and commitment of the Saudi judiciary to the value and spirit of the human being.
The Council considered that the Kingdom, since its inception until today, is based on a firm approach whose foundations are the preservation, protection and preservation of human rights, and the Speaker of the Shura Council called on continental and international councils, parliaments, federations and parliamentary assemblies to denounce all forms of selectivity aimed at removing human rights principles from their noble humanitarian context. And now what is required of the American administration is to take a positive course towards the restoration of relations and support with Saudi Arabia, which has always proven that it is a country that respects human rights and applies the laws of justice with great concern, and the American administration must maintain friendly relations with the Kingdom and not exercise artificial means to sabotage this relationship, which has witnessed fruitful cooperation. For over more than 50 years.
