Twitter President and co-founder Jack Dorsey has shown the platform’s first-ever tweet “The Twitter Platform Just Founded”, which he published in 2006, for sale as a unique digital signature, on a site that sells rare tweets as “non-exchangeable tokens.”
Dorsey’s tweet he posted on his account in March 2006 received offers of $ 88,888 within minutes of his tweet on the “Valables by Scent” website on Friday.
Old offers of the tweet indicate it went up for sale in December, but gained attention after Dorsey’s recent tweet.
The non-exchangeable codes are digital files that act as a digital signature, to verify the owners of photos, videos, and other materials on the Internet.
And Dorsey’s old tweet, which passed 15 years ago, is one of the most popular tweets on the SMS platform, and it may attract digital souvenir enthusiasts, and the highest price for a tweet reached two million dollars at 04:47 GMT Saturday.
The “Valables” website says that the buyer will obtain a digital certificate signed with the encryption system that will include the metadata of the original tweet, and the tweet will remain available on Twitter.
