The Financial Efficiency Committee in Saudi Arabia warns several clubs, including Al-Nasr and Al-Ittihad – Sports – Arab and International


A news report said today, Wednesday, that the Financial Efficiency Committee issued a warning to a number of clubs in the Mohammed Bin Salman Professional Football League (Saudi Professional League) and Prince Muhammad Bin Salman League for First Division clubs, due to their delay in submitting financial documents in a timely manner.

The Saudi Al-Riyadiah newspaper reported that private sources revealed to it that the Al-Ittihad, Al-Nasr, Al-Wehda and Al-Ain clubs from the Professional League, Al-Taqam, Al-Safa, Al-Arabi, Al-Liwa, Al-Majzal, Bisha and Hateen from the First Division had received warnings from the Financial Efficiency Committee for not responding to several correspondence.

The newspaper pointed out that these clubs put themselves in trouble with the committee, which reviews the financial irregularities and scheduling provided in the period of issuing the financial competency certificate on a monthly basis.

It is noteworthy that the Financial Efficiency Committee is a sub-committee within the Club Support Strategy, consisting of representatives of the legal and financial departments in the Saudi Ministry of Sports, in addition to representatives from the Saudi Football Association and the Saudi Professional League, a representative from the Club Support Strategy Team and an external financial reviewer.
