The “Texas Roadhouse Inc” restaurant chain confirmed, in a Facebook post, the death of its co-founder and CEO, Kent Taylor, of suicide after suffering “unbearable” symptoms linked to COVID-19.

The Taylor family and the restaurant chain said that the CEO “committed suicide this week” after “a battle with post-Covid symptoms, including severe ringing in the ears,” according to the “Al Arabiya” website.

“Kent fought and fought hard like a track champ, but the suffering that has intensified greatly in recent days has become unbearable,” the statement reads.

His family and the restaurant chain said: “He left behind a legendary company led by a carefully selected leadership team fueled by a passion for development around the world.”
