The Arab coalition in Yemen revealed the destruction of a total of 6 drones launched by the Houthi militia during the last hours towards Saudi Arabia.
The spokesman for the coalition forces, “Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen”, Brigadier General Turki Al-Maliki, said that the joint coalition forces managed to destroy 4 drones at dawn and Friday morning, and that all these terrorist attempts target civilians and civilian objects in a deliberate and systematic manner and represent war crimes.
Later, the coalition announced the destruction of two other marches targeting the city of Khamis Mushait, bringing the number of aircraft targeting the city since yesterday night to 5.
He explained that this morning, 3 “booby-trapped” drone aircraft launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia were systematically and deliberately targeted to target civilians and civilian objects towards the city of Khamis Mushait.
He stressed that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition takes and implements the necessary operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
Since the beginning of this year, the Houthis have intensified their terrorist attacks, whether inside Yemen or towards Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians and civilian objects, in flagrant violation of international charters and norms, amid a wide wave of condemnations of these attacks.
Last Wednesday, Saudi Arabia called on the UN Security Council to continue to shoulder its responsibility towards the Iran-backed Houthi militia to stop its threats to international peace and security and hold it accountable.
