The ban on Huawei begins in French cities – technology – mobile phones

The “Bloomberg” news agency reported that telephone companies began removing Huawei’s wireless equipment from major French cities, after the government moved to remove the Chinese company’s equipment from all regions except those in isolated areas.

The agency quoted informed sources that work began in early 2021, when the French Constitutional Council signed a ruling that obliges telecommunications companies to remove Huawei equipment from densely populated areas where networks are being upgraded to the fifth generation.

And unlike countries like the United Kingdom, France is seeking to find a compromise that allows Huawei to remain a supplier while keeping it away from the more integrated areas of its wireless infrastructure.
