“Shorouk” opens “Kishisha” and “Shagrafa” parks for visitors


The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) announced the opening of the “Kishisha” and “Shagrafa” parks located in the Rahmaniyah area in Sharjah in front of visitors, as the authority manages these two new parks. The two parks, which will be added to the list of entertainment destinations in the (Shurooq) portfolio, include a variety of social, entertainment, sports and educational facilities on an area of ​​147,700 square meters.
The Kishisha park, which is designated for families, includes halls for holding workshops, football and plane playgrounds, a library, a children’s theater, a fitness equipment area, a jogging track and cycling, areas for games, a dedicated area for skateboarding fans, in addition to an artificial lake that contains a section for feeding ducks with a special instructional board placed around How to feed them.
As for the “Shagrafa” park, which was designated for women, it includes halls for holding workshops, areas for games, a theater, a running track, areas for fitness equipment, and playgrounds for basketball and volleyball.
Visitors to the parks can bring their own food while maintaining the cleanliness of the place, as barbecues are not allowed in both parks at present, provided that places will be allocated for this purpose in the future.
The two parks receive visitors for free, starting from 9 am to 10 pm, and on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays, work continues until 11 pm, while visitors are received in the blessed month of Ramadan after noon prayer until 11 pm, and the running track will be available during Days of the week and around the clock.
Ahmed Obaid Al Qasir, Executive Director of Operations of the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), said: “The development of the“ Kishisha ”and“ Shagrafa ”parks that fall under the management of“ Shurooq ”is in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, It reflects His Highness’s vision for the future of the emirate and improving the quality of life of its residents by providing the best entertainment and social destinations that include a variety of facilities that meet the needs of the emirate’s residents and visitors.
Al Qusayr added, “Through its development and management of a wide range of recreational and tourism projects, the authority is keen to provide fun-filled activities for families in a safe environment in line with the precautionary measures of the UAE in light of the health conditions that the world is currently witnessing as a result of the“ Covid-19 ”pandemic by allocating teams Accompany the visitor at any time he needs to ensure that he obtains all the benefits and services offered by these destinations.
Shurooq indicated that it supports the parks with guiding panels that facilitate access to the park’s areas and sections, in addition to instructions on protecting nature and on the precautionary measures that must be taken to protect visitors from the “Covid 19” pandemic, in accordance with the instructions issued by the UAE government in this regard.
