The Saudi Press Agency announced that the Kingdom will lift most of the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus, starting today, Sunday. While a Reuters census showed that more than 115.95 million people were infected with the emerging corona virus worldwide, data from Johns Hopkins University and Bloomberg News Agency revealed that 279.9 million doses of a vaccine against “Covid-19” have been administered worldwide.

In detail, the official Saudi News Agency (SPA) quoted an official source in the Saudi Ministry of Interior as saying, “It has been decided, as of Sunday, not to extend the precautionary measures related to stopping all entertainment activities and events, and closing cinemas and indoor entertainment centers,” noting that the decision It was taken based on “reassuring indications regarding the developments in the epidemiological curve in the Kingdom.”

The decision also includes, according to the official, “independent indoor games places, or those in restaurants and shopping centers, and the like, gyms and sports centers, and providing internal ordering services in restaurants, cafes and the like.”

The source added that the authorities decided to “continue stopping all events and parties, including weddings, corporate meetings and the like, in banquet halls and wedding halls independent or affiliated with hotels, as well as in breaks and camps that are used for these purposes, until further notice.”

The official pointed out that the concerned authorities “decided to keep the maximum number of human gatherings in social events at (20) people.”

The official stressed “the need to adhere to the procedures, including the continued distribution of prayers at funerals in cemeteries at all times of the day, in order to preserve the public health of the community and protect the gains made during the last period.”

The official emphasized that inspection campaigns will be increased during the next phase, to ensure that all individuals and establishments adhere to the precautionary measures, and that fines are imposed on violators.

On the other hand, the Saudi Ministry of Health announced yesterday that five new deaths have been recorded, with the new Corona virus, bringing the total deaths in the Kingdom due to infection with Corona to 6,524 cases.

In a press statement, the Ministry indicated that 382 new infections were recorded, bringing the total number of infections in the Kingdom to 379,474.

It also pointed out that 378 new recoveries were recorded, bringing the total of those recovering to 370,300.

In terms of global infections, a Reuters census showed that more than 115.95 million people were infected with the emerging corona virus worldwide, while the total number of deaths resulting from the virus reached two million and 702588. HIV infections have been recorded in more than 210 countries and regions since the first cases were detected in China in December 2019.

According to the data announced yesterday, the average rate of vaccination in Britain is estimated at 354,184 doses per day, and at this rate, it would take seven months to vaccinate 75% of the country’s population with a two-dose vaccine.

The number of confirmed cases of the emerging coronavirus in Britain has reached 4.22 million.

In India, the data stated that 19 million doses of the Coronavirus vaccine had been given as of yesterday.

The average rate of vaccination in India is estimated at 780,868 doses per day, and according to this rate, it is expected that India will take 6.9 years to vaccinate 75% of its population with a two-dose vaccine.
