Cairo – By Iman Abdullah – Many gaming companies have postponed the launch dates of most “PlayStation 5” games for 2021 and 2022, due to the economic repercussions of the Corona pandemic.

The video game companies were planning to launch these games in 2020 in conjunction with the launch of the “PlayStation 5” gaming platform from Sony.

1- Deathloop

It was planned to launch the adventure game “Deathloop” developed by the “Arkane” company during the past year 2020, but due to the negative impact of the epidemic on the movement of work, the company has postponed its launch for this year, specifically on May 21, 2021.

Deathloop belongs to the first-person shooter category.

Ubisoft was planning to launch “Far Cry 6” during the month of February, but the company delayed the launch again later this year, but has not yet announced an official launch date.

“Far Cry 6” belongs to the category of action and role-playing games, and takes place in “Yara”, an island stuck in time, where it will fight the dictator “Antón Castillo” and his son “Diego” as a modern gangster.

3- Gran Turismo 7

Sony has planned to launch the car racing game “Gran Turismo7” within this year, but given that the pandemic continues to spread so far that has affected production plans, the company has postponed the launch to sometime in 2022.

4- The Game Kena: Bridge of Spirits

The game “Kena: Bridge of Spirits” was announced for the first time at the Sony Games conference in June of last year, and it was expected to launch this year, but the launch was delayed due to development obstacles caused by the spread of the Corona virus.

This made the developer company “Ember Lab” determine the date of issuance during the first quarter of 2021.

Then the company announced that the final date for the game’s release will be in August 2021, in order to introduce some additional touches to the game to ensure that it will meet the expectations of the players.

5- Outriders game

The Canadian company “People Can Fly” developed the game “Outriders”, and had planned to launch it in conjunction with the launch of the “PlayStation 5” gaming platform the previous year.

However, due to the spread of the Coronavirus in addition to the restructuring process, the release date was postponed to April of 2021.

“Outriders” game belongs to the category of shooting games that focus on team play as it depends on the style of “RPG” between 1 and 3 players, and is set in a world of science fiction.

6- Return of the saliva

The game “Returnal” was scheduled to be launched during the month of March, but the developer decided to postpone the release to April 30, 2021, in order to give the team additional time to continue improving the game to the quality that players expect.

The game belongs to the category of games, “third-person shooter”, and its events take place in a strange and ever-changing planet, where the heroine “Selene” descends to find herself isolated and alone, fighting with all her strength to stay alive.
