On Saturday, the Mexican Ministry of Health announced that it had recorded 6,561 cases and 779 new deaths from the Coronavirus in the country, which is experiencing high levels of deaths due to the pandemic, amid difficulties in the field of vaccinating the population.

The Ministry stated, in a new statistic, that the death toll from confirmed cases of the Coronavirus, which causes the “Covid-19” infection, has increased during the past 24 hours, by 6561, to reach the level of 2125866 cases.

This comes after the index of recorded infections with the Coronavirus in Mexico on March 4, 7521, and on March 5, 6797.

The ministry also stated that, during the past day, it had detected 779 deaths from the disease, bringing the number of victims of the pandemic in Mexico to 190,357 people.

On March 4, the number of new deaths from the disease reached 822, and on March 5, 712.

Mexico is the 13th country in the world in terms of the number of recorded infections with the Coronavirus, but it ranks 3 in terms of the death toll from the disease.

Health officials in Mexico have expressed concern about the slow pace of supplying the country with vaccines, at a time when rich countries are saving large reserves for them.

According to Reuters data, Mexican health authorities have so far given about 2.7 million doses of vaccines, covering about 1.1% of the country’s population.

However, health sector representatives have repeatedly indicated that the true numbers of infections and deaths due to the Corona virus in the country may be much higher than the official toll.
