Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex and wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, said she was the victim of a smear campaign by the royal court after the British press reported mistreating her aides.
The Times published excerpts from an email from Jason Knauf, formerly Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s press secretary, dating back to October 2018, who complained that the Duchess of Sussex was bullying his staff.
In an interview with The Sun, her spokesperson commented on these allegations, saying: “Let’s call this matter what it is … a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful information.”
He stressed, “We are disappointed to see this defamation against the Duchess of Sussex by a media outlet known for her credibility,” adding that “it is no coincidence that these accusations were published shortly before the date of the interview that she and her husband conducted with the American media Oprah Winfrey, who spoke.” They are frank and honest about their experiences in recent years. ”
Two senior employees allege that they were bullied by the Duchess, according to The Times, and another former employee alleged that he was “personally insulted by Megan.”
