England’s Manchester City team climbed to the quarter-finals of the European Champions League at the expense of its guest Borussia Moenchengladbach, after beating it (2-0) in the second leg, which brought them together on Tuesday.
Belgian Kevin De Bruyne put the English team ahead with a wonderful goal scored early, in the 13th minute, with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, his ball hit the bottom of the bar before hugging the net. His German colleague Ilkay Gundogan quickly doubled the score, in the 18th minute of the first half of the match, which was held at the “Puskas Arena” in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
