Launching of “counter” maneuvers to raise readiness and protect petroleum installations – Saudi News


Yesterday (Sunday) the joint naval exercise (confrontation 4) maneuvers, carried out by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces with the participation of units from the Eastern Fleet, the Ministry of Interior represented by the Border Guards in the Eastern Region, the Presidency of State Security, and the Ministry of Energy represented by Saudi Aramco and Aramco for Gulf Business, at the base King Abdulaziz Navy in Jubail.The “Confrontation 4” exercise aims to raise the readiness and readiness of all participating units to confront terrorist operations against petroleum installations, and to promote the unification of the concept of joint action among the participating units, in addition to raising the level of coordination and information exchange. It also aims to unify the concept of leadership and communication between the participating units during the implementation of the plan. And training in passing reports and information, and delivering them to the Operations Center.

The Commander of the Eastern Fleet, Major General Majid Hazaa Al-Qahtani, explained that among the objectives of the exercise maneuvers is to raise the readiness of all participating units, strengthen and unify joint work, raise the level of coordination and exchange information, and unify the concept of leadership and communication, in order to achieve the security and safety of vital installations and oil fields, and secure freedom of navigation in Regional and economic waters in the Arabian Gulf.
