Foreign Ministry condemns the targeting of an oil refinery in Saudi Arabia

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on an oil refinery in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, this morning.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The Arab Republic of Egypt condemned in the strongest terms this morning the Houthi militia’s targeting of an oil refinery in Riyadh with a number of drones, in a new terrorist attack targeting the territory of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

She affirmed its profound condemnation and total rejection of the continuation of the cowardly sabotage attacks, which represent a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom and its brotherly people, as well as to the security and stability of energy supplies. Egypt renewed its stand by the Saudi sister in the measures and measures it takes to protect its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of terrorist acts.

The attack was also condemned by the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the Saudi Ministry of Energy announced that the oil refinery in Riyadh was attacked by drones, at six and five minutes on Friday morning.

It reported that the attack led to a controlled fire, and that the attack did not result in any injuries or deaths, and the oil supply and its derivatives were not affected.
